Later that day, Towns and Woods posted a joint announcement on Instagram, captioned “Marry Christmas 🎄❤️💍,” revealing that the NBA star had proposed during a romantic rooftop moment in New York City.
Photos from the proposal show Towns down on one knee at Overstory, a rooftop bar overlooking the city skyline. The intimate setting was decorated with candles and flowers, creating a private and celebratory atmosphere. Woods appeared visibly emotional as she accepted the ring, with the couple later celebrating the moment together.
For the special occasion, Woods wore a white, fluffy coat layered over a white dress, her hair styled in a sleek ponytail. Towns opted for a suede coat paired with black trousers, keeping his look refined and understated.
Although the two had known each other for years through mutual friends, their relationship officially began in 2020.
