Henry Samuel Reflects on the Careers of His Parents

Henry Samuel speaks openly about the moments from his parents careers that left the greatest impression on him. The conversation comes only a few months after he signed his first modeling contract and stepped into the fashion world on his own terms.

During an interview at the 2025 GQ Men of the Year Awards in Los Angeles, the twenty year old recalled the achievements of his mother Heidi Klum and his father Seal that he remembers most clearly. He mentioned Klum’s runway era with Victoria’s Secret in the nineties and her long presence as one of the leading faces of the brand. He also remembered the powerful musical tribute performed by Seal in honor of Prince, a performance that remains especially meaningful to him.

Influence on His Personal Style

Henry explained that both of his parents encouraged him from childhood to explore clothing and the idea of self expression. He shared that his sense of style changed often while he was growing up. His parents advised him to choose looks that made him feel confident and supported the identity he wanted to project.

Heidi Klum and Seal share four children. Leni is twenty one, Henry is twenty, Johan is eighteen and Lou is sixteen. Although Klum and Seal ended their marriage in 2012, their influence on Henry continues to guide him as he enters adulthood and begins his professional journey.

Building His Own Career in Fashion

Henry is now developing his own path in the fashion industry. He made his runway debut in January during Paris Fashion Week in the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Spring Summer 2025 show. A few months later he appeared on the cover of Hunger magazine, marking one of his first major editorial moments.

In July he signed with NEXT Management. In his statement at the time he described how he grew up surrounded by fashion and entertainment but is now experiencing the industry from a new perspective as a rising model. He expressed gratitude for the chance to learn and grow while searching for his own voice in the field.
