Stradivarius Set to Arrive at Bluewater in 2026

A Shift in Bluewater’s Retail Landscape

Before the pandemic, Bluewater in Kent was largely dominated by Arcadia-owned brands. Over recent years, however, Inditex’s brands have been increasingly taking over, and Landsec has now confirmed that Stradivarius will be the latest to join in 2026.

Fashion Sales Rebounding

After the challenges of the pandemic, Bluewater saw several fashion brands — especially those under the Arcadia group — leave the mall. Yet despite not being the UK's biggest mall anymore, it continues to maintain a strong reputation. Between April and June, fashion sales at Bluewater rose by 15.7% year-over-year, driven by customer demand not only for fashion-forward apparel but also for immersive shopping experiences.

What Stradivarius Will Bring

Originally a family-run women’s fashion brand, Stradivarius became part of the Inditex group in 1999. Its new Bluewater location will offer its ready-to-wear collections, footwear, and accessories, occupying an 8,488 sq ft unit on Lower Thames Walk.

Inditex’s Expanding Presence at Bluewater

Once Stradivarius opens, Bluewater will house a total of five Inditex brands. Zara and Massimo Dutti are already present; Pull & Bear and Bershka are expected in 2024, further underlining Bluewater’s attraction to global fashion retailers. Stradivarius currently has ten stores in the UK, including one in Landsec’s St David’s Centre in Cardiff.

Landsec’s Perspective

Pablo Sueiras, Head of Retail Leasing at Landsec, remarked:
“Experience-led retail is thriving, and this new opening perfectly reflects the growing demand for retail destinations that blend the right mix of the best brands and experiences. Where Stradivarius excels is at delivering versatile, trend-driven collections at a very accessible price point.”

He added that welcoming the fifth Inditex brand to Bluewater reinforces the centre’s status as an ideal destination for global fashion labels. Landsec is confident that Stradivarius will benefit from the high footfall already enjoyed by Inditex’s other stores at Bluewater.
