Dior Opens Beverly Hills Flagship with Stars

On a warm Tuesday evening in Beverly Hills Jonathan Anderson arrived on Rodeo Drive calling it his first official road trip with Dior. Together with Delphine Arnault he welcomed guests to the newly opened four story flagship created as a tribute to the long connection between Dior and Hollywood.

A guest list filled with Hollywood favorites

By seven in the evening the boutique filled with an elegant crowd. Charlize Theron Jennifer Lawrence Greta Lee Tessa Thompson Mikey Madison Taylor Russell Lakeith Stanfield Kendall Jenner Kylie Jenner and K pop singer Ejae joined Anderson for cocktails before an intimate dinner upstairs.

Effortless style on display

Theron arrived in a black tuxedo worn with a bra and stilettos. Lee chose denim with a soft bow tied blouse. Russell and the Jenner sisters each offered a personal interpretation of the classic little black dress. Stanfield embraced double denim with a tie. Anderson stayed close to his relaxed uniform of jeans a Dior shirt and a cable knit sweater.

A new home reflecting Dior’s Hollywood legacy

Inside the Peter Marino designed space Anderson admired the scale and ambience. The flagship opened in late September and honors the brand’s historic relationship with Hollywood’s golden age. Anderson remarked that Dior’s early presence in California is something he hopes to explore further.

Fashion and film in Anderson’s universe

Anderson has long worked within the world of cinema. He collaborated with Luca Guadagnino on costumes for Challengers Queer and Artificial. He shared that Los Angeles often feels like a film set to him offering a sense of freedom and inspiration.

A private dinner above Rodeo Drive

Guests rode a private elevator to the exclusive fourth floor salon. Champagne was served on the terrace in Dior’s crystal cannage flutes before everyone moved to a dining room set with Dior Toile de Jouy porcelain. Michelin starred chef Dominique Crenn prepared a menu featuring caviar with egg yolk jam dry aged tuna tartare and violette de mer with beurre blanc and uni bearnaise.

A warm toast to a new beginning

Seated between Theron and Lee Anderson thanked the guests for being part of his early chapter at Dior. He spoke about the work ahead and the fast pace of shaping a new direction. Theron lifted her glass in response and Anderson smiled promising many future dinners.

Thoughts on hosting the perfect table

Known for his eye for craftsmanship Anderson examined the floral arrangements and the spacing between seats. He said guests should sit close enough for natural conversation and that flowers and drinks complete the atmosphere.

A sentimental moment

Anderson admitted he wished his parents could see the evening. He joked that his father would talk to everyone and would probably have a crush on Charlize Theron.

The beginning of a long journey

As the night ended with citrus pannacotta and lingering conversation it became clear that although this is Anderson’s first road trip with Dior it is only the start of an exciting new era.
