Tommy Hilfiger Launches Global Partnership With Liverpool FC

Tommy Hilfiger has announced a formalwear partnership with Liverpool FC, marking its first-ever ongoing collaboration with a professional football club. The global fashion brand will serve as the official formalwear partner for both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as key Liverpool FC staff members throughout the 2024/25 season.

Under the new agreement, Tommy Hilfiger will design and provide tailored clothing for players and staff. The collection includes navy wool two-piece suits featuring a modern notch lapel and a tonal micro-pique texture, a white poplin cotton shirt, silk burgundy club tie, black leather derby shoes, and a black leather belt—all bearing signature Tommy Hilfiger details. Complementary accessories include a cotton crew neck T-shirt and a black leather wallet, extending the brand's classic American prep style into the club’s official attire.

This partnership will also include exclusive co-branded capsule collections and integrated campaign moments across the season. Players and staff will be seen wearing the outfits during key club appearances and international events, blending football culture with premium fashion aesthetics.

While this is the brand’s first multi-year agreement with a football club, it is not its first involvement in global football. Tommy Hilfiger previously partnered with Arsenal in 2005 to dress the team for its FA Cup Final appearance. The brand has also collaborated with star footballers over the years, including Thierry Henry and, more recently, Sergio Ramos.

Unlike the one-off project with Arsenal, the Liverpool partnership extends far beyond a single match. As part of the multi-year deal, Liverpool FC will showcase Tommy Hilfiger’s full lifestyle portfolio, including classic preppy styles and pieces from its "New York" dress-casual line, further embedding the brand’s vision within the sport.

This latest agreement also represents Tommy Hilfiger’s highest-profile move in the sports sector to date. It follows the brand’s recent entry into Formula One as a partner of the new Cadillac team — a sport in which Hilfiger has a long-standing legacy. Prior to that, in 2024, the brand became the official lifestyle partner of the U.S. SailGP team, highlighting its continued push into the global sporting arena.

The collaboration launched with a major activation at Liverpool’s Anfield stadium, where Tommy Hilfiger unveiled the largest brand flag ever flown at the venue. The flag was later repurposed and donated to the Silly Goose Foundation for charitable causes.

"We’re excited to see this partnership come to life. Football and fashion have always had a unique connection, and we’re proud to work with Tommy Hilfiger to bring a fresh sense of style to our club," said Virgil van Dijk, captain of Liverpool FC.

Ben Latty, commercial director of Liverpool FC, added: "This partnership blends our club’s heritage with Tommy Hilfiger’s iconic style. It’s a natural fit that speaks to our shared values of ambition and community."

Tommy Hilfiger himself remarked: "I’ve always been inspired by the power of sport to drive culture. Working with Liverpool FC, a club with such a rich history and passionate fanbase, is truly exciting."

This partnership is expected to strengthen Tommy Hilfiger's presence in international sports while enhancing Liverpool FC’s influence beyond the football pitch, uniting heritage, performance, and style in a new global chapter.
