The Ritz Carlton has unveiled a striking new fashion collection created in partnership with Late Checkout, a label known for its witty, avant garde aesthetic. The collaboration merges timeless hotel elegance with modern design, signaling a shift toward lifestyle driven hospitality where fashion, comfort and identity coexist. Rather than offering guests a traditional stay, the partnership reframes luxury as a fully immersive experience that extends well beyond the hotel suite.
This marks the second collaboration between the iconic hotel brand and the Madrid based creative studio. Their first project earned a Gold Cannes Lions award for its bold, cinematic approach. The newest chapter expands the vision, introducing loungewear, accessories and children’s pieces shaped by a palette of navy, ivory and soft blue. The result is a collection that honors the Ritz Carlton legacy while embracing Late Checkout’s playful energy and its belief in hotels as meaningful spaces for modern storytelling.
Expanding the Narrative Across Fashion and Lifestyle
Jamie Kerr, Global Head of Brand and Marketing for The Ritz Carlton, described the expansion as a reflection of how the brand now meets travelers across every type of journey. With family friendly pieces and travel ready accessories, the collection underscores the evolution of a hospitality brand stepping confidently into the lifestyle sphere.
The collection includes reimagined wardrobe staples and unexpected surprises. Light knits are embroidered with the signature lion emblem. Velvet Sukajan jackets carry detailed artwork. New loungewear elevates relaxation with shawl collar robes and flowing cotton pajama sets inspired by evening formalwear. Children’s polos, tees and caps add a charming touch. Home accessories, including blankets and umbrellas, channel the same spirited character. A newly introduced globe motif draws inspiration from vintage travel emblems and celebrates the idea of exploration. Beloved baseball caps return as a defining accessory.
A Creative Evolution Backed by Cinematic Storytelling
For Late Checkout Creative Director Alex Turrión, the second collaboration offered an opportunity to expand the world they built together. Drawing inspiration from Japan, this new chapter feels more layered and personal. It widens the creative boundaries while preserving the tongue in cheek spirit that resonated with audiences during the first release.
The campaign film, directed by Rogelio González and produced by Little Spain, is set at The Ritz Carlton, Nikko. Josh Hutcherson returns as the central character, navigating a surreal, dramatic storyline shaped by the serene landscapes of mountains, lakes and deep forests. The setting positions Nikko as a character of its own, giving the story an emotional calm that contrasts with Late Checkout’s mischievous charm.
Photographer Javier Ruiz’s accompanying photo series extends the film’s cinematic mood. The images express balance through storytelling contrasts: elegance and humor, intimacy and spontaneity, quietude and lively irreverence. Hutcherson worked closely with González to fine tune the tone, ensuring the film captured the true essence of the collaboration.
Global Launch of Chapter II
