When Holly Ramsay and her fiancé, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, chose the 13th-century Bath Abbey as their wedding venue, the bride immediately knew her look had to match its scale. “The aisle at the abbey is 65 meters,” says Holly, daughter of Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay. “It’s so grand and so beautiful… I knew I needed something long!”
After visiting several London bridal boutiques with her mother Tana and youngest brother Jesse, Ramsay found her dream dress at Elie Saab. Her vision was clear from the start. “I knew I wanted to wear something very traditional and quite modest, with lace,” she says. “I’ve always loved Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton’s gowns: that beautiful high neckline, super feminine.” Seeing herself in the final gown sealed the decision. “I was totally obsessed with it. It makes me feel very princess-like.”

The bridal look was completed with a lace veil, Amina Muaddi heels — “a Christmas present from Adam last year” — and a rare shell-shaped Chanel minaudière from 2016 that the bride tracked down online.
Like many modern brides, Ramsay opted for multiple outfit changes. “My parents would love it if I did one look, but I’m doing two changes.” Alongside a second Elie Saab dress described as “short and fun” for the evening celebrations at Kin House, she chose a deeply personal piece for the first dance: her mother’s wedding dress from 1996. “I’ve always loved the idea of bringing in mum’s dress at some point. It’s beautiful: silk with a V-neckline and pearls all the way around. I tried it on, and it fit me perfectly—it didn’t need any altering.” The emotional moment even caught her mother mid-workout: she was “on the Peloton when I showed her.”

Emotions have been running especially high for Gordon Ramsay. “Dad cries every time I talk about the wedding,” Holly says. As the first of the Ramsay children to marry, the occasion holds special significance. “The other day I was asking him which car he and I would take to the church, and he welled up immediately.” The pair ultimately chose a Rolls-Royce Phantom, better suited to managing the bride’s lace train.
Food, naturally, plays a central role. Gordon Ramsay oversaw the wedding breakfast at Kin House in collaboration with his Savoy Grill team, focusing on classics such as beef Wellington and wine pairings. Holly, meanwhile, took charge of the after-party menu. “So it’s spicy vodka pasta, fries… I’m very excited about that part, too.”
Peaty proposed in September 2024 during a holiday in Crete, after two and a half years together. According to Holly, marriage was discussed from “literally our first date.” While she suspected the proposal might happen during the trip, the moment itself remained private. “A public proposal is both of our biggest fears. It was perfect. Just us two.”
As the wedding approached, Ramsay shared what she was most looking forward to. “We’re being very traditional in the sense that we’re not staying together the night before, so that moment when I first see Adam, just before I walk down the aisle with Dad… I think that’s the bit I’m most excited for.” She will be joined by her sisters Megan and Tilly as maids of honor, along with Adam’s sister Bethany as bridesmaid. The bridal party is dressed by family friend Victoria Beckham. “They are all wearing a VB dress in red—and they all look incredible.”

Following the wedding, celebrations will continue with Adam’s 31st birthday and a family stay at Kin House. The newlyweds will later head to Mauritius for their honeymoon, a gift from Holly’s parents. “We’re going to Mauritius to just lie by the sea. I had to tell Adam we weren’t basing our honeymoon around a 25-meter pool…”
