Fabrica Runway Show Highlights Student Talent

Taylor University’s annual Fabrica show transformed the Euler Science Complex Atrium into a lively runway space where music, cheering and bright lights set the tone for an evening centred on student expression. More than fifty students modelled in this year’s event, stepping into the spotlight under the guiding theme of Masquerade. The show created a space where fashion, community and imagination blended into one vibrant celebration.

Themes That Encouraged Personal Expression

The runway unfolded through a series of themed sections, each one shifting the mood and inviting students to interpret fashion in their own way. Some drew inspiration from different eras, mixing historical references with modern twists. Others leaned into streetwear, presenting relaxed but polished outfits that reflected everyday personality. Cultural influences added another layer, as students brought elements of places they knew, loved or dreamed about. The “Taylor-made” segment generated particular excitement, featuring garments designed and constructed by the students themselves, turning the runway into a display of originality and craftsmanship. Even academic life became part of the creative space when students and professors appeared in looks inspired by their majors, merging fashion with identity and humour. The evening eventually returned to the central Masquerade theme, closing with dramatic masks, elegant silhouettes and a theatrical atmosphere.

A Celebration of Campus Creativity

What stood out most throughout the night was the spirit of collaboration and openness. Students who might never normally share a stage came together to create a collective performance shaped by their ideas, interests and cultural experiences. The event offered a glimpse into the diversity of the campus community and showed how fashion can become a shared language, allowing students to express themselves while connecting with others.
