Texas shoppers are about to get a fresh dose of affordable style. Irish retailer Primark, famous for its fashionable looks at wallet-friendly prices, is opening its newest U.S. location at Grapevine Mills outlet mall on December 4.
From Dublin Roots to American Streets
Founded in 1969 in Ireland under the name Penneys, Primark has grown into one of Europe’s most successful retail giants. Its formula is simple: on-trend designs, rapid inventory turnover, and surprisingly low prices. Think women’s jeans for $12, men’s T-shirts for $5, and kids’ sweatshirts for $8 — proof that style doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
Expanding Across the U.S.
Since opening its first American store in Boston in 2015, Primark’s growth has been steady. With more than 450 stores in 17 countries, the brand entered Texas last year with new locations in McAllen and El Paso. Now, Grapevine Mills joins the list as part of Primark’s ongoing expansion, alongside another Texas debut in Katy Mills, opening November 20.
What Texans Can Expect
Primark’s success lies in its brick-and-mortar focus and its ability to deliver fast fashion without sacrificing quality. Constantly updating collections inspired by global runway trends, the retailer offers everything from casual wear to home décor and beauty essentials.
According to Eric Sadi, co-president of Simon Property Group North America, “Primark’s incredible value and on-trend styles make it a perfect addition to our centers.”
Texans will soon see if the hype matches the price tags — and just how far $50 can really go this holiday season.
